I have used Monica MANY times to arrange my international trips. She always exceeds my expectations with great suggestions, incredible hotels and buffets, fantastic drivers, and great photographic experiences (as per my request). We selected Asia Highlights, largely for the support, insights, and responsiveness of our agent, Alisa. She was able to pull together an amazing criteria that met all of our requirements (which changed several times throughout the process)

Our travel guide in Kyoto was Slash, he was very well informed, he gave tips how to avail to tourist discounts and the process involved and guided us on good dining and shopping options. Our travel guide for a day trip to Mount Fuji was Alan! Alan definitely went above and beyond in being our guide, he was very personable, jovial and was a big hit with our whole family.

Alan was our guide in Tokyo and amazing does not describe our experience well enough. His energy and enthusiasm for sharing his city with us made this experience memorable. He was full of information and answered our questions about culture, history, and the current state of Japanese social policies. His energy is infectious. We could not imagine our time in Japan without him.

Our tour guide, SLASH, in Osaka & Kyoto was PHENOMENAL!! He made sure that our cultural experience was as authentic as possible while catering to our preferences. He was always willing to help us find places to eat. We truly enjoyed all the dining experiences that he recommended. He was knowledgeable on the places we visited and shared fun facts about the Japanese culture.

We had the trip of a lifetime in Tokyo and Kyoto! Alan was our guide in Tokyo and he was amazing! He planned the trip out flawlessly, gave us suggestions on our free day and always ensured we were having the best time. We got along so well and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The professionalism and knowledge of their cities speak high of all the guides. Jennifer in Tokio was so special that on the last day in Tokio she went to the train station to make sure we boarded the right train, and brought us snacks to take with us. NG in Kyoto suggested us to make up a day to go to Hiroshima, we got the approval from Asia Highlights and he went with us to visit this historic city.

Alisa was responsible for the Japan period and in a week at most we had figured it out as it was done 15 days before our trip; that said we are from Brazil which means that China is 11 hour ahead of us and that was no impediment at all.

He explained colorful background stories -- more than this review can hold, but if you are fortunate enough to have Johnny as your guide, you will learn so much more (and enjoyably) than if you go on your own. His knowledge, friendliness and flexibility to conform a tour to his clients' needs is remarkable. We recommend him to family and friends alike who are traveling to Japan.

Tan and William were outstanding guides - not only did they knowledgeably walk us through a day of touring through the Mt Fuji area (Tan) and Kyoto surrrounds (William), making sure we had the best views, lots of photos and learning about history and culture in Japan, but even after the tour they both helped us navigate transport and planning even after the day of guiding. Great experience. Overall huge kudos to Asia Highlights!

Hi we have been very happy by the Tour organized for us in Japan by China Highlights. Jimmy took care of us perfectly, he was responsive and helpful when we were encountering a problem. The guides as well were very friendly and helpful even if sometimes that could not provide answers to our question.

We did a two week trip with Asia Highlights to Tokyo, Nikko, Hakone, Takayama, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Osaka and a private side trip to Koyasan. There is no way I can summarize all the good things we experienced in Japan from the food, the cultural shows, the nation's natural beauty, the sense of service by Japanese and more. For those considering a tour with Asia Highlights I cannot recommend them enough. The two words I'd use to describe them are "flexibility" and "service".

Alisa put together a terrific itinerary for us and our guides in Tokyo and Kyoto were wonderful. Our plans had to change due to Typhpon ShanShan and Alisa helped us get refunds for all missed activities. We really loved this trip and Asia Highlights’ service

Our guide Slash was wonderful! So considerate about making sure we were safe and comfortable and had our tickets in hand. He was always in a good mood and patient with questions. We would definitely recommend his services and give him high marks for representing his country. Great time

As a family of 4 our guide Johnny Lau, made the effort to acomódate to all of our needs during the visit. Johnny provided excellent explanations of the sites visited, accounted for the needs of all of my family needs while visiting the different sites. He also accommodated modifications to the tour as requested by us. The vehicle was always clean and in time and the drivers where very nice as well. Johnny provided solutions to all of the needs during our visits, one example was when we needed to visit the beach our group didn’t have towels so he searched for a place for us to buy what we needed. Johnny was also ver respectful on guiding us guidance and space for our free time on the tour, searching for the restaurants that fitted our taste and picking us on time after lunch. The serví was simply great.

When our wonderful guide Allan Tan and our Driver Yoshida pick us up we were relieved. The experience was superb we did not have a single problem. Everything was taken care of for us and there was never the slightest stressor in doing everything we dreamed of in n Japan. Allan Tan And Yoshida were always polite, prompt, and professional.

We started planning our trip to Japan 7 months prior to departure. We have contacted several travel companies. Asia Highlights was on our top place. Bert from Asia Highlights contacted me and was incredible accommodating, knowledgeable and very helpful. Everything from airport pick up to hotel check in and tour guides interaction. Was flawless. I would highly recommend Bert from Asia Highlights for your Asia trips!

Claire was our coordinator in the travel itinerary - she was able to reduce cost where we requested and everything was perfectly arranged. the hotels, the travel/train tickets, the international flight from Japan to China, the tour guides, the private transportation. Every second was well organized and accommodations were wonderful! I loved the tour guide at each city location and they were so knowledgable, kind and accommodating.

We just returned from 16 days in Asia - six in Japan and 10 in China. As experienced global travelers, this excursion planned by Alisa at Asia Highlights was top-notch. From arriving in Tokyo to leaving Hong Kong, our trip was seamless and included everything we wanted - combining the must-sees with the hyperlocal.

This was my second trip with Asia/ China Highlights and I am so glad that I chose them again. Claire was very communicative when planning the trip and included a couple of experiences I had wanted to do.

My absolute favorite city is Kyoto and we were lucky that we got a very knowledgeable and very good English speaking tour guide, Lia. She customized our itinerary and made changes to fit with our family laid back style- for context, we traveled with 2 elders and 2 kids (6 and 11 y.o).

Sharon from Asia highlights did a fantastic job with our personal 11 day tour of Japan. She clarified important details promptly and addressed problems immediately. The guides and drivers were very good. We were able to relax and just enjoy our trip. Highly recommended.
