November is wet in Singapore, with monsoon rains bringing around 25 cm (10 inches) of rain during the month's average of 19 rainy days. While on some days the showers will pass quicker than others, we do recommend having some additional indoor activities scheduled just in case.
Temperatures remain high due to Singapore's proximity to the equator, at around 25–31°C (77–88°F), but the average daily high feels more like 44°C (111°F), mostly as a result of high humidity levels.
The Best Places to Visit in Singapore in November
November isn't in the tourist peak season, partially because it is in Singapore's monsoon season. As a result, there can be some heavy showers and rainy days.
We have suggested a few spots that are indoors, or a mix of indoors and outdoors, to help you still make the most out of your trip to Singapore. Bringing an umbrella will also help protect you from the monsoon showers, but luckily there is plenty to do inside.
1. Walk Around the National Gallery Singapore
The National Gallery Singapore is one of the most impressive art collections in Southeast Asia, and oversees the world's largest public collection of Singaporean and Southeast Asian modern art. Not only that, but the gallery is also found inside the City Hall and former Supreme Court, meaning the contents of the museum are impressive, but the outside is fascinating too.
The collections at the museum range between permanent and temporary exhibits. For example, an ongoing exhibition titled "Between Declarations and Dreams" looks at Southeast Asian art's encounter with the new and change, while an exhibition running between the summer of 2024 and 2029 looks at the Foundations of Singapore, looking at the Women's Charter as well as the Employment Act.
Its originally collection can be traced back to the year 1960, donated to the museum by art philanthropist Cato Lake Wan Tho, and the collection has grown rapidly in the year since mostly through contributions from artists, but also donations from private individuals and artists estates.
2. Have Dinner at East Coast Lagoon Food Village, Singapore's Only Beachside Hawker Center
Singapore is best explored through its foods, as its huge diversity in cultures and ethnographic backgrounds come together in delicious dishes influenced by cultures from all over Asia.
One of the best places to experience this is at one of the many food courts in Singapore; East Coast Lagoon Food Village. This is the country's only beachside hawker center, so we do recommend coming here on a dry evening, although most of the table are covered so technically you could also come when it is raining.
The variety here is mind-boggling, and we suggest coming hungry! Best options include duck rice from a stall called Zuo Ji Duck Rice, seafood barbecue from Stingray Forever BBQ Seafood, chicken rice from Leng Heng Chicken Rice, and barbecue pork noodle from Hwa Kee Barbecue Pork Noodle. Get each stall's specialty and share them so that you can try the most amount of dishes.

3. Explore Haji Lane and the Sultan Mosque
The area around Haji Lane, Arab Street, and Sultan Mosque are a wonderful place to spend an afternoon or morning, grab a bite to eat, and do some shopping. If it's dry, we suggest checking out all the decorations of the shops and stores from outside, but if it's raining, there are plenty of spots to pop in for a bit of shopping or some shisha.

4. Have a Fun Day Out at Universal Studios Singapore on Sentosa
Singapore's Universal Studios makes for a wonderful day out, whether you're traveling with kids or you are thrill-seekers yourselves! The park is located on Sentosa Island, which is only around 15–20 minutes from the center of Singapore and can be reached by taxi or by cable car, with great views on the way.
Universal Studios is Singapore's only movie-theme park, and there are a total of 24 attractions in the park, including two rollercoasters that actually brush past each other in several near misses (perfect for adrenaline junkies) which are both Battlestar Galactica themed.
There is a Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase, which is great for a younger audience as it is a little more relaxed and indoors, an amazing Jurassic Park water-themed rapids adventure ride, and a Revenge of the Mummy ride that takes you back into ancient Egyptian times with its flying scarab beetles and warrior mummies.
Sentosa is also worth a visit even if you don't choose to go to Universal Studios, as it is home to some great beaches, which you can read more about in our piece about visiting Singapore in June. One of Sentosa's beaches, Palawan Island, is actually home to the southernmost point of continental Asia.
Low Season: Less Expensive and Fewer Crowds
November is low travel season in Singapore, with relatively fewer crowds and slightly less expensive accommodation and travel. Keeping in mind that Singapore is popular all year, we do suggest booking ahead still even in the less popular months.
What to Wear in November
Given the humid and rainy weather in Singapore in November, our first recommendation would be to bring an umbrella or a light poncho. We would advise against a thicker raincoat, just due to the high temperatures.
It is also very hot in Singapore in November, and we would suggest bringing your summer wardrobe, with loose-fitting clothing made of natural fabrics as the best way to stay cool. T-shirts, short-sleeved shirts, and dresses are a good option.
We also recommend bringing supportive footwear so you are able to walk as far as you want, and an extra pair of shoes, or waterproof shoes, to protect against the weather if you are planning on spending time outdoors.
